Ally Financial and the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Charitable Foundation

each donated $25,000 to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana as part of the 2014 National Automobile Dealers Association conference Jan. 24-27 in New Orleans. The donation will provide meals to more than 140,000 people. The NADA Foundation is the philanthropic wing of the association.

The Pussyfooters Marching Club

raised $34,000 at its annual Blush Ball on Jan. 25 to benefit the Metropolitan Center for Women and Children. The Pussyfooters is a Carnival marching group with more than 100 members, all of whom are women over 30. The center was founded in 1986 and provides shelter, counseling and other services to victims of violence and their families.
