Aaron Burgau is best known as the chef at Patois (6078 Laurel St., 895-9441; www.patoisnola.com), his contemporary Creole bistro, but lately he's been putting his stamp on Oak Street. He's responsible for the menu at Oak (8118 Oak St., 302-1485; www.oaknola.com), and this month he and his partners from Patois opened the sleek new TruBurger (8115 Oak St., 218-5416) across the street. The menu offers hand-ground burgers, Zweigle's hot dogs, fries, chili, milkshakes and soft drinks. The kitchen also makes a veggie patty, and gluten-free buns are available. TruBurger serves lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday.
