If Marshall Mathers had aligned himself with El-P's underground Def Jux crew instead of the exceedingly above-ground Dr. Dre, he might today sound something like Chris Palko, aka Cage. Depart From Me (Definitive Jux), the Brooklyn rapper's latest, takes its cues from Eminem's worst nightmares — vivid, venomous recollections of a childhood filled with drugs, abuse and drug abuse.
