They say you should never have too many cooks in the kitchen, but a group of local music veterans are adding some Y'atty flavor to New Orleans R&B and swamp pop. Of course, their debut CD includes a cover of "Down Home Girl," which goes: "Lord I swear the perfume you wear/ Was made out of turnip greens/ And every time I kiss you girl/ It tastes like pork and beans." The Creole String Beans include Rob Savoy (Cowboy Mouth), Bryan Barry (R.L. Burnside), Rick Olivier, and Brian Rini and Travis Blotsky (both former Space Heaters) and former Iguana Derek Huston appears on the album and in this show. Tickets $10. — Will Coviello
