Dat Dog
Dat Dog (5031 Freret St., 899-6883; www.datdognola.com) is a new eatery that takes the humble hot dog seriously. The short menu at this tiny joint is devoted to gourmet hot dogs, plus international sausages ranging from kielbasa to local crawfish sausage. They all go into big, grilled sourdough buns with toppings including guacamole and wasabi.
