Dengue Fever

Khmer Rouge dictator Pol Pot's genocide killed more than one million Cambodians in the late 1970s. His regime executed rock musicians or sent them to reeducation camps. Cambodian descendent Chhom Nimol revived the psychedelic surf guitar sound with her Los Angeles band Dengue Fever and released a film (Sleepwalking Through the Mekong) and CD. Catch the band at One Eyed Jacks (615 Toulouse St., 569-8361) with Chicha Libre (9 p.m. Friday).
