Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse (716 Iberville St., 504-522-2467; www.dickiebrennanssteakhouse.com) has been cooking strips, chops, prime rib and seafood for a decade and a half as of this month, and to celebrate, the restaurant is offering a "15-themed" menu through November.
The lunch menu sports a $15 two-course pairing, in which diners can choose a wedge salad, gumbo or onion rings to go with either the house-smoked duck, ham and cheese sandwich topped with a fried duck egg (take that, croque monsieur), broiled twin filets or a fried oyster salad.
Dinner offerings celebrate some of the restaurant's past menus. Longtime Dickie's fans should be happy to see familiar dishes including five-onion soup, an 18-ounce bone-in New York strip with foie gras butter, veal chop bordelaise and salted caramel profiteroles for dessert and more.
Since no celebration in New Orleans would be complete without spirits, the bar is offering $15 glasses of Moet & Chandon Imperial Brut NV, and a flight of three 15-year aged whiskeys, including Redbreast Irish Whiskey as well as Springbank and Dalwhinnie single malts ($20 for three one-ounce pours).
The restaurant is open for lunch Wednesday through Friday and dinner daily.
