Dining for Life
The NO/AIDS Task Force works every day to assist local men and women living with HIV or AIDS with an array of services and to educate the community at large about prevention. The nonprofit is asking people in the New Orleans area to help them just by going out to eat on Thursday. This year marks the Task Force's 13th annual Dining for Life fund-raiser, which relies on the generosity of local restaurants that pledge to donate 25 percent of their proceeds from the night to the group. For diners, it's a no pain/all gain proposition, since they need only pay the normal tab for their meal to help fund the organization. There are 34 local restaurants participating this year across the metro area with plenty of options for style of cuisine and price range.
