Dis Taco, the Mexican food spinoff from chefs Cam Boudreaux and April Bellow, the team behind Killer Poboys (811 Conti, 504-252-6745; www.killerpoboys.com), was slated to serve its last meal May 24.
Open for just over a year, Dis Taco served chorizo tacos and Chihuahua cheese quesadillas in the rear courtyard of Molly's at the Market (1107 Decatur St., 504-525-5169; www.mollysatthemarket.com), making it a go-to spot for delicious, late night drunk meals.
"Dis Taco just didn't really catch on. We gave it a shot for almost a year," Boudreaux says.
While the quality dining option will be missed on Decatur Street, Killer Poboys remains open in its cozy digs at Erin Rose Bar (811 Conti St., 504-522-3573; www.erinrosebar.com). — SARAH BAIRD
