Domingo Latino

The lush gardens and greenhouses of the New Orleans Botanical Garden took a nearly fatal hit from floodwaters after the failure of the levees and Hurricane Katrina. Dedicated gardeners went to work and have returned the grounds to a manicured, verdant paradise " the perfect setting for programs like frequent garden shows, educational programming and this week's evening concert. The Robert B. Haspel Outdoor Garden Stage hosts performances from Julio y Cesar (pictured) as well as the big-band Latin horns of Rumba Buena. There will also be vendors with Latin American food, art and crafts. Tickets $10, free for children 12-under. "—Alison Fensterstock
