Doors Pub & Pizza
Anyone who has pored through a local architectural salvage shop will recognize the primary design feature at Doors Pub & Pizza (7537 Maple St., 302-2547; www.doorspubpizza.com). Stripped wooden doors adorn the walls and form the tabletops at this new tavern and pizzeria. Chopped hot sausage patties and Spam are among the unusual pizza toppings available, and the menu of sandwiches, tacos and appetizers also includes a tribute to the "Takee Outee" egg roll, the super-sized snacks once served at the long-gone Bourbon Street Chinese joint with the memorable if not politically correct name.
