June 14
Goose Island Beer Dinner

The dinner features Goose Island beers aged in bourbon barrels, including Bourbon Country Barleywine, Brand Stout and Rare. The menu includes a cheese course, spring greens and kale salad with orange vinaigrette, grilled flank steak with red-eye gravy and flourless chocolate mug cake with whipped cream. Tickets $50-$60.

June 15
Abita! Cheddar and Beer
8 p.m. Wednesday
St. James Cheese Company, 641 Tchoupitoulas St., (504) 304-1485
The tasting features Old and New World styles of cheddar cheese from England, Scotland, Wales, Canada and the U.S. Abita Brewing Company brewer Mark Wilson presents new and flagship beers to taste with the cheeses. There also is bread from Bellegarde bakery. Tickets $35.

June 20
Summer Solstice Oyster Social
5 p.m.-9 p.m. Monday
The Urban Farmstead, 1715 Clio St.
The urban farm celebrates the summer solstice with a fundraiser featuring char-grilled oysters, cocktails and vegetables from the garden prepared by local chefs. Tickets $25.
