The new EcoCafe (3903 Canal St., 561-6585; serves coffee drinks, breakfast and lunch daily. "Eco" refers to the many "green" building features worked into the renovation of the old Canal Street townhouse, including recycled materials and energy-efficient fixtures. Look for pancakes and breakfast sandwiches in the morning, panini and salads for lunch, plus some unusual items like a fried chicken and waffles "sandwich."
