Gretna Heritage Festival
Fri.-Sun. Oct. 3-5 | Gregg Allman, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and Robert Randolph and the Family Band headline the festival. There also is food, amusement rides, crafts and more at the festival grounds in downtown Gretna.

Art for Arts' Sake
Sat. Oct. 4 | Galleries across the city hold opening receptions for the start of the art season (generally from 6 p.m.-9 p.m.). There also are PARK(ing) Day installations on Julia Street, in which artists transform parking spaces into public parks (noon-8 p.m.).
