Flesh and Blood 

=Krewe Des Sept Productions, Inc. has presented some extremely successful shows in New Orleans, including the award-winning The Glass Mendacity. Krewe Des Septs now produces the macabre comedy Flesh and Blood, written by Alabama-born Elizabeth Dewberry, with previews Aug. 25-28. The show premiered at the 1995-96 Humana Festival of New American Plays and will be part of Southern Repertory Theatre's City Series, in which Southern Rep allows New Orleans theater companies to produce shows using its theater. Flesh and Blood, which follows members of a Southern clan as they try to uncover why their own Crystal, played by Aimee Hayes, has committed a terrible indiscretion. The comedy is directed by Karl Lengel and stars Sandy Bravender, Angie Joachim and Jerry Lee Leighton. Tickets are $16 for this week's round of preview performances, and range from $15-$20 for other performances. (There will be no Sunday performance Sept. 4.)
