Fleur de Vie Documentary 

  Tulane University School of Medicine's student-run Fleur de Vie clinic (www.fleurdevieclinic.org) is the subject of a documentary that will be screened during a celebration from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, at the Contemporary Arts Center (900 Camp St.). Music will be provided by the Stooges Brass Band and David Blask, along with jazz drummer David Mahoney, bassist Mitchell Player and John Mahoney, director of jazz studies at Loyola University.

  Attendees can sample hors d'oeuvres and will receive a free drink with their ticket purchase until 7:30 p.m. A cash bar is available until the event ends at 10 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and can be purchased at www.fdvcelebration.eventwax.com/fleur-de-vie-celebration, or for $12 at the door.

  Tulane medical students founded and operate the Fleur de Vie community health care clinic to provide medical services to underserved patients. It operates jointly with the Tulane University Community Health Center at Covenant House. — Kandace Power Graves
