Frenchy Brouillette: Mr. New Orleans

For a more erudite plunge into vice before Carnival ends, check out Mr. New Orleans: The Life of a Big Easy Underworld Legend (Phoenix). Written with Matthew Randazzo, it's the autobiography of Frenchy Brouillette, a longtime gangster, political fixer and ambassador to the underworld's supply of sex, drugs and booze. Randazzo reads and discusses the book at noon Saturday at Barnes & Noble (3721 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie).
