Galatoire's
New Orleans businessman and mayoral candidate John Georges bought a majority stake in Galatoire's (209 Bourbon St., 525-2021; www.galatoires.com), which had been family-owned for 104 years. When the deal was first announced, LaPlace businessman Todd Trosclair was named as the new owner, along with a group of five Galatoires family members. The following day, Georges announced he had acquired the largest ownership share and Trosclair would serve as chairman of the board.
