Earlier this year, Gordon Gano declared the death of the landmark folk-punk trio the Violent Femmes. With his unmistakable whine intact, he picked up the brothers Ryan (of '90s indie rock outfit the Bogmen) and former members of Psychedelic Furs and New Pornographers, and cut a stripped-down alt-folk LP (Under the Sun, Yep Roc). Lost Bayou Ramblers and Box 100s open. Call club for ticket prices.
