May 2 is "Free Comic Books Day" across the land; show up at your favorite comix emporium and see what you can pick up. Local comic book artist Kurt Amacker, author of Dead Souls, will piggyback on the celebration by signing copies of his series at More Fun Comics (8210 Oak St., 865-1800) from 11 a.m.to 2 p.m. and at BSI Comics (3030 Severn Ave., Metairie, 885-5250) from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
