Gulf Coast Green Conference 

  Habitat for Humanity, Live Oak Alliance and Home Depot host the Gulf Coast Green Conference, Jan. 25-26, in Bay St. Louis, Miss. The two-day event covers sustainable home and community building in the Gulf Coast and features guest speaker Steve Hewitt, city administrator for Greensburg, Kan., a town nearly destroyed by tornadoes in 2007.

  Admission to the conference is $45 on Monday and $25 on Tuesday; lunch is provided. Habitat Affiliates receive a discounted rate of $20. Visit www.habitatbw.org for details. — Alex Woodward
