I remember the first time I saw snow. I remember going outside and playing in it and how goofy everyone was acting. My parents took a whole bunch of pictures of our house, too. I didn't remember what year that was, but my dad said it was 2008. And then he said the last time it had snowed before that was during Christmas of 2004 and that Katrina happened the next year. So that made me wonder: How many times has it snowed in New Orleans? I can't go back to the beginning of time, but when I looked it up, the National Weather Service says that it has snowed 17 times in New Orleans since 1850. That doesn't count what they call traces of snow. The National Weather Service says it has to be a "measurable amount." I guess that means enough to build a snowman.
