Hey Blake, when did Dixie Maid on Metairie Road close and what did that spot become?

In the 1950s, there was an ice cream stand in the 1600 block of Metairie Road near St. Catherine of Siena Church. I'm sure the name of the place was Dixie Maid. Do you know when it closed and what the spot became afterwards?

Dear John,
Throughout the 1950s and '60s and up until 1972, Dixie Maid was located at 1613 Metairie Road. After it closed, the building was torn down and the address ceased to exist. A health studio opened next door at 1615. Now that building is occupied by lawyers.
