Hogs for the Cause Cookoff 

Competitive cooks and pork lovers gather Saturday, March 6, at Audubon Riverside Park (aka "the Fly") for Hogs for the Cause. Begun last year by Rene Louapre and Becker Hall, the event is an outdoor team cook-off for pork recipes. Proceeds benefit causes related to childhood brain cancer. The public is invited to sample entries and vote for favorites by making donations. It's an all-day event, but the best timeframe to taste the dishes and participate in a silent auction is from noon to 4 p.m. Visit www.hogsforthecause.org for details.
