Trumpeter of all trades and Crescent City musical mayor Irvin Mayfield brings to life Book One (World Village), the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra's 2009 Grammy winner for Best Large Jazz Ensemble. The nine-song suite, captured live in November 2008 at Christ Church Cathedral, trades stirring instrumental conversations between Leon "Kid Chocolate" Brown, Evan Christopher, Ed "Sweetbread" Peterson and a dozen others.
