Healthy carbohydrates are needed to get us through the day or, even more so, through a long workout. I believe that carbs, even the good ones, have their time and place, and most importantly proper serving sizes. What is important to remember is that too much of any food group can cause weight gain, and too little of any food group can cause fatigue and malnutrition. The key to long-term health is a balance of all key nutrients individualized for your personal needs and goals.
