Avoid eating soft cheeses, which are not clearly labeled as pasteurized or made with pasteurized milk. Some examples of these cheeses include: blue cheese, feta, brie, queso blanco, queso fresco and camembert.
Cheddar, mozzarella, cottage cheese, Swiss, provolone, Parmesan and other hard cheeses are generally considered fine to eat and enjoy during your pregnancy. Be on the safe side and stick to the cheeses you know to be safe for your baby, and remember, it’s only for nine months.
