Japandroids has something to teach the rock octets out there: Two people, when they know what they're doing, are all that's needed to make a joyous noise. On August debut Post-Nothing (Polyvinyl), Vancouver collegians David Prowse (drums) and Brian King (guitar) speed through shouty, adrenaline-fueled tunes about young hearts and boys leaving town. Somehow it rings true. Tickets $6.
