Pearl Jam hits the main stage on the first weekend of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, and music fills a dozen stages over two weekends at the Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots. Also on the first weekend lineup are arena-rockers including the Red Hot Chili Peppers, 1970s standouts Steely Dan and Boz Scaggs, the timeless Van Morrison, Janelle Monae, Maxwell, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Jack DeJohnette, Mystikal, Buckwheat Zydeco and many others.
