Jobs with Mitch Landrieu

For those interested in serving in Mayor-elect Mitch Landrieu's administration, it's time to dust off the resume. Transition co-chair Judy Reese Morse, who serves as Landrieu's chief of staff in the lieutenant governor's office, says applicants should go to the transition team's Web site (www.transitionneworleans.com), where resumes can be submitted online. The site was already up and running last week, including a tool for sending applications to work at City Hall or with the transition. The mayor-elect isn't only interested in hearing from those looking for a job; there's a button, aptly labeled "Share," on the Web site for the public to submit ideas. Landrieu notes that even though he has less than 90 days before he takes office on May 3, he still hopes to have many in his administration in place by day one, including a new police chief. — David Winkler-Schmit
