Since emerging from the Chicago folk circuit, John Prine has applied his gravelly voice to lyrics weathered and wise beyond his age. He has drifted from folk to country to soft rock and back, and covers of his songs (Bonnie Raitt, "Angel From Montgomery") often drew greater attention than the original. But with two Grammys and a victory over cancer, he's still going strong. Iris DeMent opens. Tickets $40.
