Johnny Cash's America inaugurates the Ogden Museum's Art in Southern Film series. Filmmakers Morgan Neville and Robert Gordon will discuss the biopic after the screening and attend a reception at the W Hotel (333 Poydras St.). The two have worked on several films chronicling music in the South, including documentaries about Memphis' Stax Records, Hank Williams and Muddy Waters. The 2008 documentary of Cash includes previously unreleased footage and recordings as well as interviews with family and everyone from Bob Dylan to Ozzy Ozboure and Al Gore. Cash's unique career spanned five decades and he continued to attract new fans well into his later years. Tickets $10.
