Krewe du Vieux is "Fired Up" for its satirical, raunchy, sobriety-defying tumble through the Marigny and French Quarter. Dr. John rides as King, and he has taken Voodoo Priestess Miriam as his royal consort. His Lower 911 band performs at the ball along with a brass band jam and Los Po-Boy-Citos. Ball tickets are $30, available in advance at the Louisiana Music Factory and other locations. See the Web site for parade route and ball details.
