It's safe to say that savvy New Orleanians know their restaurants pretty well -- what type of food they serve, their general location, etc. But sometimes it's nice to simply, logically, line 'em by their name. Hence the Spring Restaurant Guide, which we think is pure genius in its simplicity: listing restaurants alphabetically.

While we're proud of the three other approaches to our exceedingly popular, seasonal restaurant guides -- by neighborhood (fall), cuisine (winter) and food type (summer) -- we can't think of a simpler way to reference New Orleans' insanely large offering of restaurants. It's also a convenient excuse to touch base with the restaurants and see what they've got cooking as the city blissfully shrugs off its winter chill and warms up to the sunnier season.

So if you're a person of letters, then this is the guide for you.

Dollar signs after restaurant descriptions reflect the average price for a dinner entree:

PRICE KEY:

$ -- $5 to $10

$$ -- $11 to $20 $$$ -- $21 or more
