Lionel Ferbos Turns 99 

Even as he turns 99, Lionel Ferbos still has to work on his birthday. The world's most senior active jazz musician takes the bandstand at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Palm Court Jazz Cafe (1204 Decatur St., 525-0200; www.palmcourtjazzcafe.com). The trumpeter played with legends including Harold Dejan and carries on the tradition at the Palm Court, which also was home to Danny Barker and George Lewis. Join him in celebrating a remarkable life in jazz.
