Mon. Feb. 8 | The Zulu Social Aid and Pleasure Club introduces its royalty in a daytime festival in Woldenberg Park, where Rebirth Brass Band and others perform. At 6 p.m., Rex arrives and greets King Zulu at Spanish Plaza, where there's music by Big Sam's Funky Nation, Bonerama and others.
Mon. Feb. 8 | The Uptown rap crew and Cash Money Records veterans transformed New Orleans hip-hop with the Mannie Fresh-produced 1996 track "Drag 'Em in the River" and its infamous beat. The group re-emerged in the late 2000s and headlines at 10 p.m. at a sure-to-be-packed Circle Bar.
