Xavier University Scholarship Benefit Concert
Fri. Nov. 22 | This sixth annual benefit concert — held for the Dr. Norman C. Francis Endowed Scholarship fund — celebrates Francis' 45th year as university president with an A-list lineup: soul titans the Commodores, '90s vocal acrobats En Vogue and honorary alum Bill Cosby, just in time for sweater weather. At 8 p.m. at Xavier University.

Joan Baez
Sun. Nov. 24 | The folk singer and activist isn't on the cutting edge of cultural change like she was when she played the Newport Folk Festival in 1959. But she performed at the festival on the 50th anniversary of that show (and dropped by Occupy Wall Street in 2011). She's at One Eyed Jacks at 8 p.m.
