Cabaret Macabre
Thu.-Sun. Nov. 6-9 | Happenstance Theater presented a shortened version of Cabaret Macabre in the New Orleans Fringe Festival last year. Inspired by Edward Gorey illustrations, the circus arts show is a silent comedy of manners run amok when its stuffy Victorian characters lose their composure. At 8 p.m. at the Marigny Opera House.

Peter and the Starcatcher
Fri.-Sun. Nov. 7-23 | In Rick Elice's adaptation of Dave Barry's origin tale for the story of Peter Pan, an orphan boy takes to the high seas where he meets Molly and enters a world of adventure and magic. At 7:30 p.m. (3 p.m. Sundays) at Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre.

Stars of American Ballet
Fri. Nov. 7 | New York City Ballet (NYCB) principal dancer Daniel Ulbricht is joined by longtime NYCB star Wendy Whelan and a crew of dancers from NYCB and Houston Ballet in a program of classic and recent works. At 8 p.m. at Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts.
