Elite's bathroom vanities offer a range of styles that can be customized to your taste.

With all the remodeling and repair work going on in homes around the city, it's a perfect opportunity to upgrade your bathroom with vanities and lavatories that speak to your personal style and can set your home apart.

If you are ready for a departure from common, pre-fabricated bathroom countertops and cabinets, Elite Home Products (5630 Salmen St., Bay 4, Harahan, 818-2838 or 800-881-5901) offers a variety of solid-wood vanities in modern and antique reproduction styles that come with chrome faucets and drain kits, and most have matching mirrors.

Pictured here is one of the more modern designs with a countertop glass sink and silver faucet set, but styles range from A-shaped rustic to those with Asian aesthetics to contemporary to traditional and come in a range of wood finishes. You also can choose from a variety of sinks available in colors like red, clear, blue, purple and frosted finishes as well as some etched with designs. Each vanity can accommodate a sunken sink or one mounted on top of the counter.

Elite Home Products started as a wholesale distributor to designers, architects, plumbers and others in the building industry, but began offering its products at wholesale prices to the public last summer. Although it specializes in bathroom vanities and sinks, it also offers showers. Prices for the bathroom vanities start at about $699.
