Loup Garou

Oct. 8

7 a.m. Thu.; 5 p.m. Fri.-Sun.; through Oct. 25

Site of former East Golf Course, City Park, Filmore Avenue near Wisner Boulevard; www.artspotroductions.org or www.mondobizarro.org

The Loup Garou is a mysterious figure in South Louisiana lore. Some folk tales cast him as a werewolf. But if coastal erosion is destroying his bayou home, isn't he also an endangered species? Mondo Bizarro's Nick Slie animates the Loup Garou in a multi-media performance in the fields of City Park. Tickets $15 general admission, $10 students/seniors/artists, Sunday's performance is pay-what-you-can.
