New Chef at Cafe Adelaide 

Cafe Adelaide (300 Poydras St., 595-3305; www.cafeadelaide.com) is run by the Commander's Palace branch of the Brennan restaurant family. So it's no surprise the Brennans chose a new chef for Cafe Adelaide from the staff at Commander's. Chris Barbato, the chef du cuisine at the Garden District landmark since 2004, is now in charge of the kitchen at Cafe Adelaide. Barbato replaces chef Chris Lusk who left to become chef du cuisine at Restaurant R'evolution, which chefs Rick Tramonto and John Folse plan to open next year inside the Royal Sonesta Hotel.
