The Count: New Orleans' ranking among cities (100,000 or more people) of people biking to work

MAY 20 IS NATIONAL BIKE TO WORK DAY, and the U.S. Census last week published a new infographic showing New Orleans ranked No. 18 in a list of cities with regular bike commuters. The city now has more than 100 miles of bikeways, including dedicated bike lanes, shared lanes and buffered bike lanes.

  Berkeley, California and Boulder, Colorado topped the list of ride-to-work cities, but New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles didn't even make the Top 20.
