Clark's son, Danny "Nicky" Clark V, was born prematurely and weighed only 1 pound, 13 ounces. His birth inspired Clark to found a premature birth education and support organization in 2008, while with the New York Giants. The foundation also tackles literacy and sexual health issues and hosts an annual Mind, Body & Soul retreat — a two-day conference for children ages 12-17 combining football and education events focusing on domestic violence, STD awareness, higher education and community service.
