Night of the Living Dead: Reanimated

Director George Romero's 1968 zombie film Night of the Living Dead was many things to many people: terrifying gorefest, birth of a horror subgenre and/or subversive social commentary. Southern Rep (333 Canal St., 522-6545; www.southernrep.com) presents Night of the Living Dead: Reanimated (www.notldr.com), which combines the original soundtrack and scenes recreated by more than 100 artists using animation, action figures, sock puppets and more. 7 p.m. Wednesday. Free admission. Cash bar.
