Dean Baquet, executive editor of The New York Times, will give the sixth annual Ed Renwick Lecture in Loyola University's Nunemaker Hall next month. Baquet, a New Orleans native and graduate of St. Augustine High School, began his career at the now-defunct States-Item before moving to The Times-Picayune and the Chicago Tribune, where he received a Pulitzer Prize for investigative reporting in 1998. Baquet also received an honorary degree from Loyola in 2013. He took over the top editorial job at the Times last year. The lecture begins at 7:30 p.m. March 16 in Nunemaker Hall and is free and open to the public.
