The Lazara Quartet is left hanging by a string when it loses a member just before a televised performance of Beethoven's challenging Opus 131. A young female violinist steps in to fill the seat, but the intense group of virtuoso musicians risks descending into greater discord as their all-male sanctum is shaken. Previews run Wednesday through Friday. A reception follows the opening night performance Saturday. Tickets $19-$35.
