Parents' Club

Parents with young chidren can always use camaraderie and guidance when it comes to child rearing, and the Jewish Community Center (JCC) and Jewish Family Service are providing a forum with the New Orleans Parents' Club (NOPC). The first meeting is 9:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Monday, Sept. 13, at the JCC (5342 St. Charles Ave., 897-0143; www.nojcc.org).

The club will meet every Monday during the school year. Psychologist Dr. Dahlia Topolsky, who has a private practice at the Family Behavioral Health Center, will lead the meetings, which focus on positive parenting techniques, building children's self-esteem and establishing a healthy family environment.

Membership is $100 per year and children are welcome at the meetings. For more information or to register, call 831-8475 or email suzy@jfsneworleans.org.
