Pizza NOLA and La Dolce NOLA
Husband-and-wife team Jennifer and Will Samuels recently opened a pizza parlor in Lakeview and a gelato shop in Old Metairie. Pizza Nola (141 W. Harrison Ave., 872-0731; www.pizzanola.com) serves thin-crust pies whole and by the slice. La Dolce Nola (200 Metairie Road, Metairie, 832-1122; www.ladolcenola.com) serves an array of house-made gelati and sorbetti, including sweet potato, satsuma and goat yogurt varieties. Naturally, Pizza Nola serves La Dolce Nola gelato and will even deliver it by the pint along with pizza.
