The Louisiana Seafood Festival presents seafood dishes from local restaurants and live music at New Orleans City Park's Festival Grounds. Headliners include Better Than Ezra (pictured), Amanda Shaw and the Cute Guys, Honey Island Swamp Band, Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes, Wild Magnolias and Big Chief Summit, Mia Borders, Sister Hazel and others. Participating restaurants include Acme Oyster House and Borgne, and there are nonseafood items as well. Kingfish's Greg Sonnier and other local chefs offer cooking demonstrations, and there's a kids' pavilion and an arts and crafts market. The Sunday New Orleans Saints versus New England Patriots game will be broadcast on a large screen. Visit the festival website for complete schedule information. A free smartphone app with festival information is available for iPhone and Android. Free admission. — JEANIE RIESS
