Shortly after closing J'Anita's original location in 2009, the owners moved the restaurant's operation to the tiny tavern kitchen at the Avenue Pub (1732 St. Charles Ave., 586-9243; www.theavenuepub.com), where the menu of gourmet burgers and fish sandwiches caught on big. In a recent change, however, J'Anita's has moved to the kitchen at Broadmoor's Rendon Inn (4501 Eve St., 826-5605). Chef Joel White will offer a new menu of upscale bar snacks at Avenue Pub.
